This job is for a unique dual-role on The Greggory Team as you have the ability to work 2-3 days on the floor as part of the waitstaff with the opportunity to polish your skills with wine as a Sommelier 2 days a week.
You'll be able to maintain and develop relationships with suppliers while actively contributing to the direction of the wine program.

As a Sommelier and Wine Program Director at The Greggory, you'll play a pivotal role in curating an exceptional Napa-focused wine list infused with Old World influences.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ordering and tracking wine deliveries, meticulously organizing inventory, and ensuring our selection remains competitive and current.
You'll have the unique opportunity to engage with guests during weekdays, serving on the floor and sharing your passion for wine.
On weekends, dress in your finest sports coat and step into your Sommelier role, where you can expertly guide patrons in selecting the perfect wine to enhance their dining experience.
Embrace this hands-on position that blends managerial oversight with direct customer engagement, all while fostering an environment dedicated to hospitality and excellence.
Would you be a great Sommelier / Waitstaff?
To excel as a Sommelier and Wine Program Director at The Greggory, you'll need a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in wine list development is crucial, allowing you to curate an impressive selection that highlights Napa wines and Old-World influences.
Strong education training in oenology will enhance your knowledge, enabling you to confidently educate both the team and guests.
Exceptional wine cellar management skills are necessary to ensure our inventory is organized and accessible, while maintaining supplier relationships is vital for sourcing the best selections.
A minimum Level 2 Certification is required to demonstrate your wine expertise.
Additionally, problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset are essential for meeting the diverse needs of our clientele and ensuring an exemplary dining experience.
