Job Description
The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for planning and overseeing site preparation, construction, and budget of new Chuze locations and remodels.
The CPM works closely with the Chief Development Officer, Director of Architecture, Chuze construction teams, and oversees general contractors (GCs) to ensure high-quality work and that all projects are finished with efficiency and on schedule.
This role requires an in-office presence in Denver, CO, 4-5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct construction projects from site survey, preparation, and demolition to completion, managing and mitigating missed deadline risks.
- Work with GCs throughout all aspects of projects, including scheduling for each location, ensuring strong communication, reviewing staging, and closing out jobs with accurate notes and documentation, following Chuze policies and playbooks, and addressing city and inspector concerns as needed.
- Manage General Contractors and owner sub-contractors, bid jobs to General Contractors, and select GC.
- Ensure quality construction standards by staying abreast of updated and emerging construction regulations.
- Ensure on-site personnel are complying with building and safety regulations.
- Prepare, manage, and finalize budget for each location, communicating to the finance department in conjunction with DOA and CDO.
- Facilitate meetings between key Chuze stakeholders and GCs to present plans, review playbooks, and strategize specifications based on city / county laws.
- Ensure GCs and owner subcontractors are complying with owner-mandated processes and reporting.
- Work with the construction team to ensure project management software is updated.
- Communicate any issues or changes to plans, construction playbook, or engineering items to the DOA, CDO, and construction team.
- Process and approve change orders. Communicate updated numbers to the finance department and request checks for plans and other fees as needed.

Qualifications
Required
- 2-4 years of professional experience in commercial Construction Management.
- Regular ability to travel across Chuze markets to visit each construction site.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and lead teams through all facets of construction processes.
- Organized, accountable, and able to set and reach goals.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the capacity to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Self-starter who is motivated to prioritize, execute, and adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Team player who can work both independently and collaboratively.
- Highly organized, process-driven, and precise.
- Capacity to receive and deliver constructive feedback.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Prior experience in fitness facility construction.
- Previous new and remodel construction management experience for multiple projects in multiple states.
