Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with craniotomy and burr hole experience for day shifts with call requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Main Operating Room of a hospital setting
  • Cases include neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics surgeries
  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday, from 6 : 30 to 15 : 00
  • Call and late days are required as needed
  • Altera charting system experience is preferred, but not required
  • Handle a variety of complex surgical cases across multiple specialties
  • Participation in an on-call rotation and working late days may be necessary
  • Orientation and start dates may be flexible depending on required paperwork completion
  • RTO (requested time off) will be considered per assignment guidelines

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in hand prior to consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent OR experience in the relevant service lines
  • Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Must reside more than 150 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
  • Previous permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Clinicians must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
  • Two recent supervisor references from the last 3 years required
