POSITIONSUMMARY :
To provide a full range of occupationaltherapy services in a home care setting. Join an interdisciplinaryteam supporting children through Early Intervention and children upto age 18.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTANDARDS :
I. Education :
Bachelorsdegree in occupational therapy
II. Experience :
One or more years of general OT experience with Bachelorsdegree
III. License Requirements :
VermontOccupational Therapy licensure
IV. General :
Holda valid drivers license and have a reliable registered vehicle withinsurance as required by the organization and appropriate toposition
Broad base of clinical knowledge and skills inoccupational therapy relevant to home caretreatment
WORKINGCONDITIONS :
1. Traveling is required
2.May work in communitybased settings (childcare centers) and clientshomes and outdoors
PERFORMANCEREQUIREMENTS :
I. PerformanceStandards :
- Provide a full range of occupational therapyservices to patients in their homes including : ongoing assessmentsof current status;
- implementation of treatment plans includingspecific therapeutic exercises / activities and instruction in usingadaptive techniques and equipment in order to regain maximumindependence and the like;
teaching patients and caregivers abouttheir conditions and OT treatment plans selftreatment andcare.
Confer regularly with supervisor other clinicalteam members departmental office staff and other UVMHN Home Health& Hospice personnel to plan and coordinate activities consulton cases exchange information investigate and resolve problems andthe like
