Job Summary :

Responsible for leading overall Business Development, Sales, and Client-Relationship Management for Ampirical Services, Inc.

and affiliate companies within the Western Sales Region. Grow annual sales revenues at existing clients and by developing new opportunities at prospective clients.

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$175,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Who You Are :

  • 5 - 10 years sales experience selling professional services and technical sales within the electric power utility market sector
  • Bachelor degree in business, management, or related field
  • Proven record of sales growth
  • Previous sales experience and / or familiarity with the Utility market sector including IOUs, Municipal, and Cooperative Clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Researching prospective accounts in target markets.
  • Identifying opportunities for Ampirical and affiliate companies' solutions and services through cold calling and networking.
  • Assessing client needs and the company's ability to meet those needs.
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.
  • Preparing and collaborating with internal teams to prepare sales presentations.
  • Leading proposal development process in response to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and various internal teams including finance, contracts, operations, etc. to ensure that all client and RFP requirements are met.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Soliciting client feedback regarding :
  • Product / solution deficiencies
  • New feature requests
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors.
  • Using customer relationship management (CRM) software, to manage and track interactions.
  • Preparing weekly status reports for management.
  • Willing to have direct client engagement (email, phone, in-person)
  • Willing to accept responsibility for tasks, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Willing to accept task assignments outside of core job function as necessary to support the broader Sales & Marketing team.
  • Willing to travel and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
  • Willing to develop a thorough understanding of products / solutions to be offered.
