Just Energy is seeking candidates for either a Lead Quantitative Analyst or Quantitative Analyst hybrid’ position in our Houston, TX office.
The candidate will be required to have an in-depth understating of the ISO protocols. Use the technical knowledge to proficiently build risk models in R or Python for the Risk Management team.
Be able to effectively communicate with other teams for the data gathering requirements and present the results to the management.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Research ISO protocols, comprehension of trading activities. Translate the ISO requirements and business details into comprehensive reports
- Leverage predictive models to optimize collateral requirements
- Conduct market data analysis for building volatility models, scenario analysis and stress tests
- Design and build complex financial risk models for commodity risk management and liquidity risk management
- Automation of key reports in R / Python
- Lead key projects independently
Requirements :
- Strong business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and data-driven decision-making capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in R or Python and SQL
- Familiarity with software development practices
- Familiarity with related tools available in environments such as Azure DevOps and Power BI
- Good code practices such as logging, testing and documentation
- 3-5 years’ experience in a quantitative field
Education :
Degree in a quantitative field (academic and / or practical exposure to topics such as Linear Algebra, Optimization, Statistics).
