About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2+ years NICU experience

License : Iowa Nursing License

Certifications : BLS, NRP

Must-Have : Dependent and Child Abuse certifications (can be obtained during onboarding)

Description :

As a member of the interdisciplinary team,

Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

Will float to general pediatrics and PICU.

Unit consists of 421 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2 or 1 : 3.

Care involves patients with conditions such as premature births, respiratory distress / failure, and hypoglycemia.

Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation may be required.

Required to work 2 of 3 designated winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving).

A limit of 1 day off request is allowed between designated holiday dates for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.
