Job Summary :

The role involves analyzing POS and transaction log data, developing dashboards, and collaborating with various teams to drive insights and improve data quality.

Responsibilities :

Analyze POS and transaction log data to uncover sales trends and customer behavior patterns

Apply statistical methods like causal inference anomaly detection and forecasting to drive insights

Develop dashboards and KPI frameworks to monitor promotions pricing store product and category performance

Translate complex analyses into clear actionable recommendations for business teams

Identify and address data quality issues such as missing fields or inconsistent identifiers

Partner with retail marketing finance and category teams to deliver impactful analytics projects

Tackle ambiguous problems using hypothesisdriven analysis and iterative refinement

Conduct deepdives into transaction data to diagnose performance issues and inefficiencies

Collaborate with engineering teams to define and improve data feeds and models

Validate incoming data to ensure it meets analytical and business requirements

Convert business questions into structured analytical approaches with clear performance metrics

Present insights in a compelling storydriven format to business audiences including executives

Align retail analytics with broader strategic goals through data storytelling and frameworks

Identify longterm trends and risks in customer and store performance to inform planning

Map the full retail transaction lifecycle to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities

Deliver structured recommendations using visual tools like Powerpoint Power BI or Excel

Create a promotion performance framework Index Work In Progress

Enablement of experimentation AB or multivariate testing in coordination with machine learning deployment

Implementing data governance and data strategy in the promotions space

Improving data quality in coordination with data engineering

Enablement of scalable personalization in coordination with enterprise data group

Create a framework for promotion performance that measures impact to business beyond basic redemption data

Create clarity for and provide leadership in end to end data integrity data governance and data strategy as it relates to retail promotions landscape with personalization as the end goal for merchandising marketing

Create clarity for and provide leadership in end to end data integrity data governance and data strategy as it relates to retail promotions landscape with personalization as the end goal for merchandising marketing

Help lead the effort with the product team to unlock understanding and levers action steps for business users to drive improvements in performance metrics

Questions we need to answer as an organization are promotions making any difference in sales or would customers baskets remain unchanged

Qualifications : Required :

8 - 10 Years of experience

Analyze POS and transaction log data to uncover sales trends and customer behavior patterns
