We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team, providing crucial mental health and educational support to students.
This is a full-time role for next school year. New grads are welcome to apply.
Job Details :
- 2 school psychologist openings.
- Elementary campus which would be 7 : 30 AM 3 : 30 PM
- Monday-Friday.
- This would start July 17th or 22nd, 2024.
- There are currently 72 eligible special education students with 18 students up for their reevaluation. This campus has, on average, 10 initial requests throughout the school year.
- Preschool, which would be 7 : 30 AM 3 : 30 PM
- Monday-Friday, this would start the same time.
- This school psychologist would be responsible for AzEIP referrals, and all CDAs completed. The CDAs would be completed with a speech therapist and special education teacher.
- They would also work with this team on screening students before evaluations being completed. Caseload is around 100, including screenings and evaluations throughout the school year.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with academic, social, or emotional challenges.
- Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and address students' needs.
Requirements :
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Ability to assess and address the diverse needs of students.
