The Reigstered Nurse delivers quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adult, geriatric, adolescent and children patients typically with psychiatric or emotional disorders, addictive disease disorders or chemical dependency problems, or those duly diagnosed with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders.
Serves actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization’s and adult, adolescent and child program philosophy of care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Completes nursing assessment thoroughly and in a timely manner within facility guidelines. Assessment includes all required screenings and components.
Communicates effectively with physicians and ensures orders are accurate and carried out accordingly. Accurately documents on treatment plan illustrating patient progress or need for additional problem or intervention identification.
Follows policy and procedure and involves next line of leadership as needed to resolve issues. Intervenes appropriately in crisis situations.
