Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists nurses with diaper changes, toileting, repositioning, and making beds
- Obtains vital signs and informs the nurse of abnormal findings.
- Assists with enteral and / or oral feedings.
- Assists with daily activities planned by the Recreational Activity Team.
- Assists at Front Desk checking patients in and out of the EMR system and answering and transferring phone calls.
- Cleans work area and equipment as assigned and as needed throughout the workday.
- Participates in department quality improvement activities including, but not limited to, departmental training, routine staff meetings, and routine one-to-one meetings.

Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma (formerly GED) and successful completion of an approved nurse aide training program.
One year of experience is desired. Pediatric experience preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and web-based applications such as electronic medical records.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nurse Tech state license required.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider with skills testing certification required.
