RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is looking for a Railcar Logistics Rates Supervisor . The Rates and Routes First Line Supervisor’s primary objective is to provide the oversight of the team that creates and manages accurate freight rates and routings related to rail shipments, while also identifying savings opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and train the team of rates and routes coordinators
- Monitor workload and ensure daily tasks are being accomplished
- Escalate issues to stakeholders as appropriate
- Prepare and provide reporting and metrics that demonstrate service levels and areas to improve
- Understand rates and routings in order to identify and resolve issues
- Identify, implement and track savings opportunities
- Ensure accurate routings, interchanges, and weight restrictions are tracked
- Develop a process and ensure routine reviews of rate database are completed
- Goal-driven and continuous improvement mindset
- Communicate and present information to internal and external stakeholders
