Helicopter Mechanic

As a Helicopter Mechanic for the United States Army, provided by GoArmy.com, you will engage in the maintenance and repair of military helicopters, ensuring they are combat-ready and operate safely and efficiently. This role is pivotal in supporting the mission and operations of the Army Aviation units, offering an opportunity to work directly on some of the most technologically advanced helicopters in the world such as the UH-60 Black Hawk, AH-64 Apache, and the CH-47 Chinook. Perform routine checks and maintenance of helicopters to ensure operational readiness and safety at all times. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems failures. Read and interpret military maintenance manuals and technical diagrams. Keep detailed records of maintenance work conducted and systematically report these recordings in line with Army regulations. Assist in the requisition, preservation, and management of tools, parts, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in trainings and briefings essential for the upkeep of helicopter operational standards and innovations.
