Overview

Part-Time Schedule : Tuesdays and Thursdays 3 : 00pm-8 : 00pm; Saturdays 8 : 45am-5 : 15pm

Responsibilities

• Developing and presenting lesson plans to meet specific literacy needs of children such as story times, library education and summer reading programs.
• Monitors the condition of the children's department.
• Provides reference and reader’s advisory services to all library users, with a focus on services to children, teens, parents and teachers.
• Strong focus on children’s programming and literature, customer service, technology experience and team work. Requires the application of elementary principles of library and information sciences. A complete job description is available upon request.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements : One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
