About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift : 12H Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : RN License Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have : At least 1 year in a PCU setting

Description : Unit Notes :

Prescreen and Manager review required.

Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract.

If clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be DNU for 6 months.

Radius Rule : 50 miles.

Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated within the past year.

The float pool includes inpatient units.

Nurse to patient ratios in PCU is 1 : 4, MedSurg Tele is 1 : 5-6.

Common diagnoses include geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, and post-procedural patients.

Experience in managing titratable and set-rate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin is required.

Each unit will have a charge nurse who will not take assignments.

Nurse aids will be utilized in all settings.

Respiratory equipment such as CPAP or BiPAP will be used at night in MedSurg.

In PCU, BiPAP, CPAP, and Heated High flow will be available.

Monitoring of patients is conducted with monitor techs available.

RNs must be able to interpret strips.

Scheduling is done by a scheduler for the float pool, and shifts are published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time.

Flexibility in scheduling is required.

Weekend and holiday requirements will include participation in the permanent staff rotation.

Units will be assigned via text message notification 2 hours prior to the start of shift.

Dress code requires solid color professional scrubs.

Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks.

Charting system is Cerner.
