IT SEC - IT Security Engineer
Evaluate security protocols for intrusion prevention using NIST 800-53 framework.
Ensure security regulations and standards are being applied in the network system.
Implement solutions for DNS, Email, remote access configuration, integration, performance monitoring, and security management on the Next Generation firewall 9-1-1 platforms.
Implementation of Next Generation firewall platforms, host operating systems, applications such as LDAP and SMTP.
MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Note : Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCP / IP stack.
Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Minimum 12 yrs. experience in a technical and / or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :
Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC / PSAP environment working on systems One or more relevant information security and / or networking certifications such as : CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE
Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
