Position Description

US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED

CGI Federal is currently seeking Data Engineers with active Top-Secret clearances to support a large project for a federal government client.

This position can be filled in Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The candidate will be working closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and quality for analytics and reporting purposes.

Candidate should have a strong background in data engineering, data management, and data integration techniques, with a specific focus on data virtualization tools and platforms.

This role requires deep expertise in data engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of distributed data processing frameworks.

Ability to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software;

facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high performance computing.

Experience utilizing big data technologies and knowledge of data science models to analyze large amounts of data and create valuable insights.

Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks.

Expertise in architect and utilization of large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.

Minimum of 5-8 years' experience as a Data Engineer.

Hands-on software development experience with a focus on continuous delivery and deployment and cloud automation.

Experience with building scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.

Experience with ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Experience with Optimizing data processing workflows for performance.

Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

Databricks and Lakehouse architectures.

AWS OpenSearch, experience with AWS, Splunk, Databricks, and other Oracle / SQL based platforms.

Experience with python, Microsoft VBA, and Databricks.

Active Top-Secret clearance.

Please note that due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.

S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
