Nature of Work :

The purpose of the Building Engineer-On Call position is to support the KSE Engineering Department with basic maintenance tasks at many of our campus and event venues.

Examples of work performed :

• Assists with general engineering tasks and building maintenance work including carpentry, light electrical, light HVAC, and basic plumbing repairs.
• Assist with basic painting projects.
• Work events as assigned.
• Travel to all KSE properties including Ball Arena and campus buildings, Paramount Theater, and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands :

• Stand, walk, talk, hear, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms up to 2 / 3 of time.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1 / 3 of time.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. up to 2 / 3 of time; up to 50 lbs. up to 1 / 3 of time.
• Moderate to very loud noise.
• Clear vision at 20 , depth perception, ability to adjust focus and identify and distinguish colors.
• Work near moving mechanical parts up to 2 / 3 of time.
• Work in high, precarious places, in outdoor weather conditions, and with risk of electrical shock, up to 1 / 4 of time.

Qualifications

• Minimum
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ experience in a sports and entertainment field.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Preferred
• 2 years’ experience with AV systems in an arena setting.

Compensation

Base hourly range $23.75-$25.00 per hour
