About the Role :

Were on the hunt for a dynamic Tax Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will prepare and review tax returns, manage accounting processes, and lead junior staff members.

Your Mission :

• Prepare and review tax returns including federal, state, and local returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990, 1041) ( tax preparation, tax review ).
• Mentor and train junior staff members , providing guidance and oversight ( mentorship, staff training ).
• Collaborate on client engagements to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations ( tax compliance, client collaboration ).
• Develop tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities and optimize their financial outcomes ( tax strategy, tax planning ).
• Maintain and foster strong client relationships , ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction ( client management, relationship building ).
• Stay current on tax regulations and implement changes to ensure continued compliance ( tax law knowledge, compliance ).
• Utilize tax software (CCH Axcess or ProSystems) to prepare digital workpapers and ensure proper accounting treatments ( tax software expertise, digital workpapers ).

Core Competencies :

• Tax Preparation & Review : Expertise in preparing and reviewing various tax returns.
• Team Leadership : Strong mentoring and team management skills, guiding junior staff in tax preparation and review.
• Tax Strategy & Compliance : Ability to develop tax-saving strategies and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
• Client Relations : Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional service and guidance.

What You Bring :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 4-6 years of public accounting experience , specifically in tax preparation and review.
• Strong experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystems (preferred, but not required).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments.

Skills Required :

• Tax Preparation & Review : Experience preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Mentorship & Leadership : Proven ability to mentor and manage junior staff members.
• Tax Software : Proficiency with CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystems (preferred).
• Tax Compliance : Knowledge of current tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Client Relations : Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Certifications :

CPA Certification Preferred but not required.

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Required.
• CPA Certification Preferred.
