Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer -Core Foundational Platforms

As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Core Foundational Platforms Databases Team, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of enterprise database systems, provide technical consulting, and contribute to infrastructure engineering. Job responsibilities

Leads a team who understands the firm's database infrastructure environment and technology modernization pathway.

You and your team will then work with application teams to help them migrate to the latest database products and versions on our private cloud or onto the public cloud.

• Uses your expertise, on these platforms to help maximize the performance and resiliency of the application workloads.
• Works closely with application teams and give them the expertise to accelerate cross cloud modernization efforts.
• Migrates large, complex workloads to new database infrastructure and the ability to help our application teams achieve best results from their infrastructure.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on Infrastructure Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Proven ability to lead a global team of consulting engineers specializing in a small number of strategic database technologies.
• Alongside team leadership duties, also deliver your own book of database consulting work to the internal customer base across all JPMC lines of business.
• Deep expertise on one or more of the following : AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Data migration and data streaming tooling such as Oracle Goldengate or Pentaho.

• Build strong relationships with application teams so they can accelerate cross cloud modernization efforts by trusting your knowledge and focus on the success of their outcomes.
• Work closely alongside database product engineers and database support to deliver an integrated service and seamless experience to internal JPMC application developers.
• Be a self-starter, able to drive progress across multiple concurrent assignments, from small to large scale. JPMorgan Chase & Co.
