Job Overview

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating documentation to assist the team with communication, training, projects, organization, processes and procedures.

How You Will Make an Impact :

• Lead the initiative to audit the current knowledge base systems and provide strategic recommendations for changes and improvements
• Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions
• Create and maintain internal site content for organization, content accuracy, and brand
• Maintain library for communications team's document control, team collaboration, and external socialization
• Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions
• Participate in all aspects of documentation development from project planning through project release, including but not limited to developing, writing, editing, and publishing the content
• Look for operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicate areas of improvement within the process to SMEs and managers
• Work collaboratively with various teams and disciplines to develop documentation that satisfies its intended purpose, within schedule and budget limitations
• Lead or assist with retention, file naming, and file storage initiatives
• Understand and apply context towards different content types, tailor content to best fit the audience, and apply critical thinking to ensure that content meets standards
• Maintain a working knowledge of other industry-standard platform
• Meets regularly with stakeholders and cross-functional teams for status updates.
• Write concise documentation including but not limited to the following : procedures, work instructions, and other operational documents.
• Create and maintain internal documents and ensure they are organized, accurate, and meet department branding requirements.
• Participate in documentation development throughout the document lifecycle
• Look for operational efficiencies while documenting content and communicate areas of improvement within process to SMEs and managers
• Work collaboratively with various teams and disciplines to develop documentation that satisfies its intended purpose
• Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions
• Understand and apply context towards different content types, tailor content to best fit the audience, and apply critical thinking to ensure that content meets standards
• Assist cross-functionally on documentation tasks as necessary to meet client and stakeholder needs
• Escalates blockers to team lead
• Some travel may be required

What You Will Need to Succeed :

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 3 + years experience as a Content or Technical Specialist
• Proficient in MS Suites to include Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Google Workspace tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal
• Editorial, copywriting, and / or analytics experience

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range : The estimated pay range for this position is USD $28.77 / Hr. - USD $34.00 / Hr. and is a Non-Exempt role.
