Software Engineer

The Qlik AutoML team is building automated machine learning products that provide advanced analytics and insights to users without a data science background.

We own the AutoML product, as well as integrations across the Qlik platform.

As a Software Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for the development, testing, release and maintenance of distributed services.

You will work on new features within our team and are also excited to collaborate across teams. Experience with machine learning is welcome, but not expected.

You are an effective and compassionate communicator and can present your ideas with humility and mutual respect for the opinions and thoughts of others.

You are eager to learn and to share and mentor with the primary goal that the team succeeds.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Helping to build the next generation of our web applications and services.
• Maintaining and improving existing services.
• Working with data scientists and other developers to expose clean and sensible services for various applications.
• Mentoring junior developers to help them improve their programming practices and understanding of design patterns, architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Assisting the team with architectural decisions.
• Helping to address the problems and complexities that arise as products and teams grow.
• Learning quickly while utilizing new tools, languages, frameworks, patterns, etc.

Skills And Qualifications For This Role Include

• 4+ years of experience delivering enterprise software and / or cloud SaaS software.
• 4+ years of experience in Go, JavaScript / TypeScript and / or Python.
• 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $CAD 98,300 130,000 per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
