We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a Juris Doctorate degree to join our team on a contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will focus on legal writing and research, with a preference for candidates who have experience in immigration law. This part-time (15-20 hours per week) opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a background in legal processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Draft legal documents, including affidavits, correspondence, and discovery materials.
  • Utilize tools such as LexisNexis and Accurint to gather and analyze relevant information.
  • Manage and maintain calendars to ensure timely scheduling of meetings, hearings, and deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and maintaining client communication.
  • Organize and manage case files using document management systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of immigration-related applications and filings, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all legal tasks.
  • Maintain and update records in systems such as Microsoft Access and Concur.
  • Support the team in administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Juris Doctorate degree is required.
  • Experience in legal research and writing, with a preference for immigration law knowledge.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Accurint.
  • Strong organizational skills, including experience with calendar and document management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Previous experience in a legal or administrative support role is preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia required
  • Availability to start immediately without needing relocation
