Overview

Kimley-Horn has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a motivated Senior Managed Lanes / Tolling Project Manager to expand our Transportation (Tolling) practice in Atlanta, Georgia!

Responsibilities

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset, creating a vision for growth in their own personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local Georgia market and beyond.
  • Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing state DOT clients while developing and overseeing a personal practice at Kimley-Horn that encompasses the planning, design, implementation, operations, and maintenance of managed lanes facilities and tolling systems / infrastructure.
  • Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue their own passions, leads, and clients both locally as well as nationally.
  • Leadership responsibilities include :

  • Growing and leading a Managed Lanes / Tolling practice
  • Our Project Managers / Practice Builders manage their own projects, are responsible for project performance (quality and profitably), transition work over-time to qualified staff, develop and mentor staff at all levels, and act as a positive leader and mentor.

Creates a positive, collaborative, and team-focused environment that fosters employee growth both personally and professionally.

  • Actively participates in and engages with the local and national managed lanes and tolling industry through trade organizations, conferences, and community events.
  • The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their own practice / business within the Kimley-Horn.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the managed lanes / tolling industry that encompasses the planning, design, implementation, operations, and maintenance of managed lanes and tolling systems / infrastructure projects.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Track record of successfully winning, managing, and delivering work in Georgia and the Southeast United States
  • Established relationships with state DOTs and tolling agencies
  • Strong knowledge of tolling systems, equipment, and technologies, including electronic toll collection (ETC) and all-electronic tolling (AET).
  • Proficiency in tolling industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with tolling software, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably within agency specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to engage with clients to solve complex and challenging problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff and efficiently and effectively direct resources
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project quality and profitability
