Certification Details
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Traveler must pass a Dysrhythmia exam during the first week of assignment; Travelers that do not pass the test will be dismissed.
Job Details
- PCU RN 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS

- 2 years experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry / neuro unit required.
- Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.
- Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
- Will float to med / surg. Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU.
- Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands.
Job Requirements
- Active NM or compact license.
- At least two references (one must be from current manager).
- 2 years experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry / neuro unit.
- Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
Schedule Information
- 12 hour night shift position
- Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
- On call, weekends and holidays may be required.
- Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
- Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
Unit Specific Information
Orientation : 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Additional Details
- NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS (updated 10.10.2024)
- Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.
- State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice.
- The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
