We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Corporate Communications Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications and marketing.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Human Resources and Investor Relations team to support various initiatives and projects.
This position will work 20 - 40 hours a week and be able to work 2 to 3-days a week in our Bloomington, MN office.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Assist in the creation, editing, and distribution of internal and external communications materials, including newsletters, social media content, company intranet and website updates.
- Support the planning and execution of corporate events, including town halls, and community outreach activities.
- Support the development of Learning & Development (L&D) content, including creating engaging materials and communications to promote training programs and initiatives.
- Conduct research on industry trends, media coverage, and competitor activities to inform communications strategies.
- Help manage and update the company’s social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
- Assist in monitoring social media engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and develop compelling stories that highlight company achievements and initiatives.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for communications campaigns.
Education and Experience :
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and a passion for storytelling.
- Prior experience in communications or public relations is a plus, but not required.
