Senior Accounts Payable Analyst

Massillon, OH - Hybrid (Onsite T, W, Th)

The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst will work under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager to support the department with timely resolution of comprehensive accounts payable issues.

Your seat at the table

• Be relied on as the main point of contact for accounts payable team members and others to assist with resolving accounts payable issues and questions.
• Train accounts payable team members and other departments on systems, processes, controls, and related efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team and others on special projects, as needed.
• Operate as backup on various accounts payable areas.
• Prepare accurate and timely accounts payable data and reports to leadership.
• Accurately perform and complete month-end close accounts payable reconciliations and journal entries, including investigation and resolution of reconciliation discrepancies.
• Reallocate work across team members as business needs dictate.
• Act as primary admin with respect to user, role, and other system setup and changes for the company's invoice automation software.
• Act as primary admin with respect to the company's corporate card program.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to provide support for audit requests and complete first review of team member documentation.
• Review new vendor setup and vendor changes.
• Assist with escheatment processes.
• Work with the accounts payable team and others to document standard policies and operating procedures.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred or comparable experience.
• Ability to manage special projects, anticipate issues, and take initiative to reach positive resolution.
• Seven+ years accounts payable experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Professionally and ethically represent the company.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously under high pressure and within demanding time constraints.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
