The Department of Athletics at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a Coaching Assistant Men’s Soccer (Part Time).

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES :

Under the supervision of the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, the incumbent will be the primary contact for student-athlete recruitment and will assist in all aspects of operating a NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer program including but not limited to : coaching, recruiting, maintenance of a strong academic environment and student-athlete enhancement activities, compliance with NCAA, conference and institutional regulations, retention of students, management of scholarship and operations budget, fundraising, organizing practice, developing season and competition schedule.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for the position include : Minimum 4 years of coaching experience at the club level or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications for the position include : Minimum 2 - 3 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with CSUSB.

Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment. Note : CSUSB cannot deny an applicant a position solely or in part due to a criminal conviction history until it has performed an individualized assessment and linked the relevant conviction history with specific job duties in the position being sought.

The Department of Athletics

California State University, San Bernardino is a NCAA Division II member, competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The University seeks an individual who has demonstrated success in attracting campus and community support. The CCAA has been one of the nation's most successful intercollegiate athletic conferences since its establishment in 1938.

CCAA members have won 154 NCAA Championships (102 men, 52 women) which is far and away the most of any Division II conference.

    Coaching Assistant 12-month : $5,168 - $6,946
