Warehouse Clerk - 2nd Shift - 2 pm - 10:30 pm - $24.00 per hour

• The warehouse clerk position is responsible for transferring inventory; assisting customers at the will-call window; answering telephone calls;
• entering data; performing clerical duties; processing bills of lading; and providing forklift drivers with necessary information for product movement;

order processing and inventory control; monitoring and verifying quality assurance hold inventory on a daily basis.

• Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
• Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Receive in purchase orders, transfer raw material from the warehouse to the plant, and allocate finished goods to pick tickets within the SAP system.

Investigate and correct inventory errors and notify supervisors of any discrepancies.

• Log receipts into the product report by verifying amounts, product code dates and product numbers entering data into the computer system.
• Prepare and process bills of lading for customer shipments; ensure product availability based on inventory levels prior to the allocation process;

investigate and correct inventory errors and prepare handbills for outbound shipments.

Assists customers at the will-call window by receiving product and / or packages; notify recipient(s) of package(s) received;

direct drivers to appropriate locations for product pick-up or delivery. Receive and initiate phone calls to set appointments for deliveries.

• Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations
• Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system.
• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring.
• Evaluating hazards, verification of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment.
• Works in a safe manner and promptly reports hazards identified in the work environment.

Minimum Job Requirements :

Education / Certifications and Experience :

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Forklift certified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort :

Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and / or poor lighting, noise, and vibration.

Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.

• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.
• Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds;
• utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see;

hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.

Bump caps, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, lockout devices, fall protection and any other personal protective equipment, as defined by C.

H. Guenther and Son will be provided.

Work involves frequent exposure to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, tedious, and exacting work, irregular work schedule and / or overtime, noisy and / or distracting environment, working closely with others as part of a team, and on rare occasion’s emergency situations.
