We are currently seeking a highly motivated Insurance Litigation - Paralegal / Case Manager for our Columbia, SC office.

Responsibilities include the following :

  • Document management and analysis for large cases
  • Medical record summaries and chronologies
  • Procurement of medical records / HIPAA compliance
  • Preparation and service of subpoenas and other discovery requests
  • Preparation of pleadings and discovery responses
  • Preparation of routine status reports to clients or national counsel
  • Statewide roster / docket monitoring
  • Electronic filings / ECF with Federal Court
  • Tracks time spent on client matters and enters time in billing system in a timely matter

Candidates should have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes :

  • Three or more years' experience working in a law firm
  • Thorough understanding of the litigation process
  • Knowledge of court and administrative hearing rules and procedures
  • Must be flexible with the ability to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc...) and other legal software applications
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and employees at all levels of the firm
  • Team member who participates in shared office duties and requirements
  • Stable employment history
