Job Description : Cold Storage Receiving Associate
Responsibilities :
- Receiving Operations : Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials in a cold storage environment.
- Inspection : Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet established standards.
- Documentation : Complete receiving paperwork and enter information into computerized systems accurately.
- Storage and Organization : Properly store received items in designated cold storage areas, ensuring adherence to temperature and storage requirements.
- Inventory Management : Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including cycle counting and periodic stock checks.
- Safety and Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for handling cold storage materials.
- Communication : Coordinate with other departments regarding received shipments and any issues that arise.
- Equipment Operation : Operate forklifts or other equipment as required to move and store materials.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Prior experience in receiving operations, preferably in a cold storage or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge : Understanding of cold storage handling procedures and temperature management.
- Physical Stamina : Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
- Detail-Oriented : Strong attention to detail in inspecting and documenting received materials.
- Team Player : Capable of working collaboratively with others and communicating effectively.
- Safety Conscious : Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Organizational Skills : Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet receiving deadlines.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification : EPJ certification is required.
Working Conditions : The role involves working in a cold storage environment with temperatures typically kept at or below freezing.
