As a Security Officer - Mall Bike Patrols PT in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for regular patrols throughout retail or mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a welcoming environment. You will interact with visitors and tenants, offering outstanding customer service while monitoring the area and assisting with any security-related concerns. Pay Rate : $14.85 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeWed10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PMThur10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail / mall environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify irregularities.
  • Observe and report activities or incidents, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal and / or site management as required.
  • Support access control measures and help to deter prohibited items or activities within the location.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and / or tenants with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence during patrols.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be able to ride a bike for long periods of time.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
