Position Overview :
Surgical Solutions is seeking a Director of Marketing & Product Management to drive the development and evolution of our service offerings alongside upstream marketing initiatives. This role will partner closely with clinical teams to uncover opportunities for new service offerings and craft targeted go-to-market strategies. Working in collaboration with the sales team, the Director will develop compelling content that highlights service value, competitive differentiation, and market positioning. The role will also identify and track key client metrics to create quantitative data-driven value statements, ensuring offerings align with the priorities of healthcare systems and decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in service marketing, market insights, cross-functional leadership, and creating impactful content that enhances sales performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Marketing & Planning
- Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on both product and service offerings.
- Own and execute marketing strategies to grow revenue and market share.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and segmentation to identify customer needs, industry trends, and opportunities for growth.
- Build business cases for new product / service initiatives and develop launch strategies.
- Provide insights into pricing, positioning, and messaging to differentiate offerings in the marketplace.
Sales Enablement & Program Support
Create sales tools, collateral, presentations, and case studies to support product / service adoption.Partner with the sales team to drive customer engagement and market penetration.Develop internal and external marketing resources to enhance sales enablement.Service Portfolio Development & Innovation
Lead the full lifecycle of service offerings and programs — from concept and design through launch, enhancement, and retirement — ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and market needs.Plan and execute new service and program launches, managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful market introduction.Drive voice-of-customer (VOC) and field engagement initiatives to capture insights that fuel service innovation and elevate the client experience and service offerings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance service concepts from idea to implementation, ensuring readiness, compliance, and market success.Assess and advance new service opportunities, strategic partnerships, and business cases that expand market presence and deliver measurable value.Market Research & Intelligence
Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisionsIdentify gaps in the market and generate innovative ideas for expanding share and improving value propositionsDrive market insights through customer engagement and field collaboration.Campaign Execution & Optimization
Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, events, and content channels.Measure campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies based on performance data.Create marketing dashboards, track KPIs, and report performance to leadership.Leadership & Team Development
Influence and guide marketing initiatives, fostering collaboration and shared accountability.Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business objectives.Represent marketing in strategic planning sessions and influence decision-making at all levels.Partner across functions – including sales, clinical operations, technical services & vendor relations.Partner Strategy & Collaboration
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships, working with external partners to develop joint product content, align go-to-market strategies, and explore opportunities for expanding partnerships.Ensure mutual growth through effective collaboration and alignment on marketing and product objectives.Qualifications :
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field8–10+ years of progressive experience in product / service marketing, product management, or related fieldProven track record in developing and executing successful go-to-market strategiesExperience in industries with complex purchasing processes, preferably in regulated or technical marketsSkills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics toolsApplicants open to relocating to the KC Metro area are encouraged to apply; relocation assistance is available.
