Capital Professionals is assisting our 3PL Client with their expansion and search for new talent to join their team. They are looking for motivated, self-starters who are eager to learn, EARN, and advance professionally in an ever-growing industry.

We have immediate need for direct hire candidates to join their rapidly growing sales and operations teams! We are in search of Logistics Sales Executive / BDM as well as Account Managers.

Our client takes pride in the high level of expertise and experience their team possesses. While the foundation is comprised of leading industry professionals, their ideal candidate can be defined only by their strongest character traits and not their job history.

This is a fast-paced role, with a great deal of multi-tasking, problem solving and communication with customers, carriers, and associates to accomplish goals.

Logistics Sales Executive / BDM duties and responsibilities

  • Identifying and vetting prospective carriers to build a pipeline of service providers.
  • Gathering information from clients to determine their shipping needs.
  • Obtaining shipping quotes from carriers and passing them on to clients
  • Booking freight service through carriers for clients
  • Coordinating the pickup and drop off of shipments.
  • Monitoring the progress of shipments to ensure that goods arrive promptly and undamaged.
  • Updating customer management software to keep client records accurate.
  • Advising clients on potential supply chain issues

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management
  • Familiarity with logistics software, customer relationship management software and spreadsheets
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to find solutions to issues that arise before, during and after shipments.
  • Well-honed negotiating skills to get the best possible quotes for customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with carriers and clients located around the world.
  • Analytical skills to determine which carriers offer the right set of services for various clients.
  • Networking skills to build relationships with prospective clients and carriers.
  • Proven sales skills to obtain new clients and carriers and close shipping deals.
