DESCRIPTION
The POCT Coordinator oversees laboratory testing across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. This role combines technical expertise, regulatory oversight, and strong communication skills to maintain high-quality patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have current Clinical Laboratory Scientist issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
Bachelor's degree with a major in an appropriate scientific field.
Two (2) years of applicable clinical laboratory experience.
Familiarity with CLIA, CAP and State of California requirements for Point of Care Testing.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.
Strong problem solving skills to assist clinic staff to resolve issues, remotely or on site.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Must have the ability to multitask.
Teamwork, excellent communication, customer service and process improvement skills are all applicable to this position.
Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
Experience with Lab equipment maintenance, peer training, technical writing and review of standard operating procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Six (6) years of applicable clinical laboratory experience.
Experience with point of care testing devices.
Experience with device connectivity on a health system network.
Experience with building LIS test codes.
Experience with validating test codes and interfaces.
Experience with managing a middleware / database such as Telcor QML or similar.
Experience with Epic.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $119,830 - $157,853 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $57.39 - $75.60
