The Sr. Network Engineer will lead a team of IT professionals responsible for the network support for the computing environment including hardware procurement and deployment, and project management.
This role will work with other departments and business units to determine network and security needs and do the research and development to meet those needs.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule, based out of our NW side Indianapolis, IN offices*
Essential Job Functions :
- Lead architect for LAN / WAN design and deployments
- Design and implement run books for network automation
- Work closely with business leaders to design and implement business solutions using network equipment and processes
- Installs, Configures, switches, routers, and firewalls
- Author and update process documentation as needed
- Documents configuration and monitors various aspects of infrastructure
- Provides tier 3 network troubleshooting and support, including rotating on-call, after-hours support
- Ability to do site surveys and new office deployments
- Research and development of new technologies
- Train and educate others
- Other duties as assigned
Relevant Skills
- ITIL based service delivery for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management, and Configuration Management
- Ability to hold themselves and others accountable to high standards

Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology a plus
- 5+ years of Networking experience with Arista and Cisco technologies
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems, hardware, and routing protocols (BGP)
- CCNP / Arista ACE certifications strongly preferred
- Experience with Automation
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Decode packet captures, flows etc.
- Strong leadership and team mentoring skills
- Palo Alto and VPN technology
- A good understanding of SDWAN technology
- Comfortable providing support for remote locations
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed, not to exceed 20%
- Exceptional customer service orientation
