Senior Maintenance Tech Urbana, OH

Our well-established, privately-owned manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Maintenance Tech for their Urbana, OH plant to work closely with all maintenance personnel in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of all equipment within and around the facility to meet production and quality standards and requirements with in a timely manner.

Reports to Production Manager.

Senior Maintenance Tech Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• To troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment problems.
• To coordinate preventative maintenance and repair activities with supervisory and management personnel.
• To perform all assigned equipment and facility PM procedures.
• To effectively communicate equipment status and issues with management personnel.
• To train other less experienced maintenance personnel in effective equipment troubleshooting and in areas of expertise.
• To maintain equipment repair records.
• To maintain critical equipment spare parts inventory, including generating purchase requisitions.
• To perform building and grounds maintenance such as painting, snow removal lawn care.

• To perform basic plumbing and repairs of both threaded and soldered piping systems.
• To fabricate and repair metal tables, fixtures and stands using MIG and stick welding techniques.
• To perform basic machining tasks using the mill, lathe, drill press and surface grinders.
• To operate all department equipment in a safe manner.
• To maintain all department equipment in a clean and reliable condition.
• To work with the other employees to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• To use a computer for data-entry into timekeeping and manufacturing software.
• To exhibit strong problem-solving skills
• To be a highly motivated team player in a detail-oriented environment.
• To perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Senior Maintenance Tech Requirements :

• High School (required) - Diploma with Machine Trades or equivalent training.
• College (preferred) - Two-year Industrial Technology degree or equivalent.
• Driver’s License Required
• Must be able to perform advanced equipment troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic problems using common test equipment including but not limited to;

a digital voltmeter, clamp on amp meter, insulation tester megger , vacuum and pressure gauges.

• Must be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for all plant equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand PLC ladder logic for the trouble shooting of machines and equipment.
• Must be able to perform basic PLC program editing and program changes to optimize machine efficiencies.
• Must be able to competently interact with OEM on troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment issues.
• To be able to weld using MIG and stick welders.
