Job Description

We are looking for short-term, long term, part-time, and full-time Daycare & Preschool Educators wanting to start in August with preschools, and daycares across San Diego.

As an Educator, you will support in executing lesson plans, managing classrooms as well as collaborate with other teachers in an early childhood setting.

In this role, you will also be responsible for actively engaging with the children throughout the day and supporting their development.

In this role, it will provide the next step in developing your career in Early Childhood Education. You will gain exposure to communicating updates with parents on their child's development and leading lesson plans while learning from other teachers at the center.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to positively contribute to the lives of children in special education and make a positive impact on their development.

This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $19-$21 per hour, paid weekly. With this role there is no requirement to work weekends and will be on a Monday to Friday schedule within hours of 7 : 30 - 3 : 00 / 4 : 30 pm.

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities :

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Assist in compiling classroom communications
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Maintaining a safe learning environment
• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Early Childhood Education credentials - min. 12 units
• US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
• Applicants must have professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Experience working with personal care
• ParaPro Certification or similar
• Past work experience in a school
