Shift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week
Length : 13 weeks
Requirements :CAPD-completed by Renal Nurse preferred
Documentation system : Cerner / power chart
Number of Beds : 16Patient Ratios : 1 RN : 4 patients, 5 : 1 or 6 : 1 with stretched staffing plansUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Days : 1 HUC, 1 12 hour CNA, 1 8 hour CNA, Nights : 1 CNAType of equipment : Bedside VS machines-VC 150’s, Wow’s : mobile work stations with computers, scanner for med administration, and supplies, lifting equipment for safe patient movement, bed alarms, sitter select / chair alarms, mobile telemetry.
Patient Experience requirements : Patient communication board in room, purposeful rounding, ICARE communication, patient safety / excellent care / medication explanation.
RN / MD bedside rounding, bedside reporting.
