Full-time

Dr. Chenxu Zhu's research group at the New York Genome Center (NYGC) and Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) is looking for motivated postdoctoral researchers interested in single-cell genomics and gene regulation.

The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Chenxu Zhu and collaborators inside and outside of NYGC and WCM, at the intersection of chemical biology, genomics and computational biology.

About the Zhu Lab

The Zhu Lab (https : / / czhulab.github.io / ) develops cutting-edge genomics technologies to study gene regulation in development, aging, and cancer.

We integrate approaches spanning chemical biology, molecular biology and computation biology, to design creative tools to analyze the relationships between multiple molecular layers at single-cell level, and to apply these tools to study the combined effects of multiple regulatory inputs to functional outputs during cell fate specification and maintenance.

The lab is located at the NYGC; we are part of Department of Physiology and Biophysics and Institute for Computational Biomedicine at WCM.

Position Description

We are looking for postdoctoral scientists to develop innovative genomics technologies for understanding gene regulation mechanisms.

The postdoctoral scientist will lead an exciting project to develop single-cell multiomics technologies and also have the opportunities to study gene regulation programs in human diseases with the new tools.

The postdoctoral scientist will work closely with the PI on the research program and potential fellowship and grant applications.

In addition, we envision that the postdoctoral scientist will play a major role in developing new projects in a supportive team science environment.
