Salary : 18.00-22.00
Type : Full-time (Non-exempt) position, expected to work non-regular hours; as needed, including overnight shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
the Grounds is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment.
This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in maintenance and facility management.
Essential Duties
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following :
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operation.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret complex instruction manuals for HVAC, telecommunications, security, fire safety, sound, lighting, audio-visual, and digital recording systems.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, rain, or cold weather for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, sit, or be in a laydown position for an extended period, up to an entire shift, depending on the task assigned.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces, underground, on suspended work areas, at heights that can exceed 60’ in the air.
- Must have and maintain a California Driver’s License (CDL) and be eligible to be insured by our insurance provider.
- Must maintain equipment certification including but not limited to Forklift, Gene Lift, Boom Lift, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field.
