Executive Sous Chef
Location : NYC
Salary : $ 80,000 - $100,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Our client is a well-established restaurant with locations in DC and New York. Their high volume restaurants offers mediterranean cuisine and beautiful decor that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
They are looking to add an experienced Executive Sous Chef to their team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the Executive Chef in the overall running of the Back of House operations
- Assist with the development and preparation of seasonal menus
- Motivate and inspire a strong culinary team. Ensuring team members is fully supported and equipped to do their job
- Oversee inventory and ordering food and supplies weekly and / or monthly
- Meet or exceed all financial targets
- Ensure that the kitchen is staffed appropriately, the kitchen is clean and equipment is working properly
Qualifications :
- 5+ years experience in a similar role, preferably within a full-service, high-volume restaurant
- Understanding of food and labor costs, ordering inventory, and product quality
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- Familiarity with inventory and costing software programs (i.e. ChefTec, Compeat)
- Culinary degree or equivalent is preferred
