Position Type : RegularYour opportunityWe are seeking an innovative and passionate Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Lead of Market Data Systems Technologies.

This is an opportunity to deliver Market Data solutions used by Schwab Clients, internal applications and Associates. This leader’s primary responsibility will be the delivery and support of the Market Data technology platforms focused on core business and platform capabilities supporting our internal Order Management systems and Schwab Retail and Advisor clients.

This leader will mentor and lead Jr. Level developers while ensuring development practices are in line with company best practices and policies.

An ideal candidate will enjoy belonging to an impactful and growing engineering team, driven and motivated to lead, strong communication skills, extensive experience with client facing and server-side technologies.

Other responsibilities include : Possesses technical expertise, knowledge and experience in developing high volume, high fan out, high availability, high performance and low latency applications using core java’s network socket programming and multithreading, REST services, web services, middleware, database, etc.

Drive our Agile implementation to ensure we continuously optimize our ability to rapidly deliver features / fixed to our clients, foster collaboration, accountability and transparencyChampion new ways of collaborating with technology and business partners to ensure we build high quality solutions against a shared strategic visionInfluence and implement improvements and efficiencies in the technical aspects of the development processWorks well in a dynamic, fast-moving and collective work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethicEnsure the highest quality software is developed, delivered and maintainedWhat you haveBA / BS Degree in Computer Science or related degree10+ years technology development and delivery for Market Data Services10+ years’ experience with real time, high volume and highly concurrent systems 10+ years of core Java experience required : multi-threading, concurrency, network and sockets programming 10+ years’ experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design 10+ years’ experience with distributed systems development10+ years of experience with running medium to large / complex projects with multiple dependencies10+ years of IT project leadership experience in technical, project and vendor management capabilitiesMarket Data domain knowledge and experience in developing high volume, high fan out, high availability, high performance and low latency applications using core java’s network socket programming and multithreading, REST services, web services, middleware, database, etc.

Solid understanding of the SDLC and project planning / execution skills including estimating and scheduling.Prior experience with Agile processes in planning, implementation, and support of business application components, including change & release managementMust be self-starter, very detailed and analytical, and have a curious mind that enjoys digging into how things work and continuously strives to enhance the product, workflow and the process.

Works well in a dynamic, fast-moving and collective work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethics.Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport and grow consensus with peers and other groupsExperience with .
