About The Position
Job Title : MRI Technologist I Job Specialty : Radiologic Technology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40.
00 per week Experience : Must have Level I Trauma experience License : Eligibility for MRI Certification within 12 months of hire Certifications : Current BLS certification Must-Have : Level I Trauma experience Job Description : Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor / preceptor, provide specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology services to adult and / or pediatric patient populations.
- Aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and / or diseases.
- Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with the procedures ordered by physicians.- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and other multidisciplinary care team members.
- Utilize specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic equipment and techniques for a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and / or surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm completion and document required elements in accordance with department protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems, enter technical data / findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and treatments.
- Display professionalism, politeness, courtesy, compassion, and cooperation in interactions with staff, patients, and their families.
- Show ability to multi-task, remain calm in stressful situations, and work with minimum supervision.This position requires a commitment to maintaining accurate records and working accurately with names, numbers, and codes while exercising discretion in handling confidential information and using sound judgment.
