Summary : As a Quality Assurance Inspector reporting to the Quality Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the excellence of quality processes at our protective film manufacturing facilities in Aurora, IL.
You will collaborate closely with Quality, Production, and New Product Development (NPD) teams to uphold high standards and drive continuous improvement in product quality.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the quality function and uphold a culture of quality excellence and lean principles within the facility.
- Conduct floor inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly, working with manufacturing teams on quality at the source initiatives.
- Implement and maintain the quality management system documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements and corporate / division policies.
- Act as a liaison with leadership in Production, Quality, and NPD to ensure that all quality-affecting functions meet required standards.
- Manage the corrective action system to analyze and resolve nonconformities and customer complaints effectively.
- Develop and execute performance metrics to assess organizational performance, product quality trends, customer satisfaction, and cost of poor quality.
- Assist in developing and implementing a supplier management strategy in collaboration with Quality leadership.
- Collaborate with Engineering on new product development and participate in design reviews to address quality and reliability concerns.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
- Cultural fit : Nimble and entrepreneurial spirit; proven success in environments with resource constraints. Comfortable collaborating with executives and working in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
