Medical Assistant Position

Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. Located at 829 N. Center Ave, Gaylord, Michigan, this full-time position operates Monday through Friday, during the day shift.

As a clinical professional, you will be assisting Physicians & Advanced Practice Providers in Clinics and Physician Offices. Your responsibilities include preparing patients for visits by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, prepping for exams, assisting with medical procedures, blood draws, vaccinations, and injections. You will also assist with patient scheduling, referrals, insurance, pre-authorizations, and billing.

What's required :

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization :
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Health career Association.
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCTT) by the National Center for Competency Testing.
• Certified Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) by the American Medical Certification Association.
• Other MHC approved credentialing organization.
• If hired / credentialed prior to 3 / 1 / 24, will be grandfathered in with prior credentialing body.
• Must meet any requirements to maintain credential.
