Electrical Engineer
Growing fullservicefirm looking to add a talented Senior ElectricalEngineering with a focus on Renewable Energy to theirColumbus Ohioteam!
Responsibilities :
- Leadteam of engineers / designers in preparation of drawings for allaspects of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage electrical powersystems
- Providedesigns (conceptual and highlevel designs) during the bidding stageofprojects
- Coordinateprojects with vendors structure engineers and civilengineers
- Preparedocuments / reports
- SolarPV Engineer will provide direction to the renewable energy designteam
Requirements :
- Bachelors Degreein Electrical Engineering or relatedtechnology
- Mastersof Science in Electrical Engineeringpreferred
- 5years of renewable energy engineering designexperience
- Experiencein either Utility Scale or Commercial / Industrialindustries
- Experiencedeveloping scope of work conceptual design and planexecution
- Extensiveknowledge of AutoCAD for technicalwork
- Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite : Excel Outlook Wordetc.
- Engineeringconsulting experiencepreferred
- Proficientunderstandingof :
- Evaluatingenergy storagetechnology
- Providingclient guidance for best technology for theapplication
- Solar panelsystem components / designprinciples
- Howto perform energy production simulations and optimize PV systemdesign
- Creatingelectrical singleline diagrams panel schedules and connectiondiagrams for PV / energy storagesystems
- Developing / directingthe creation of equipment specifications procurement and factoryacceptance testing of batteries inverters battery enclosures andother miscellaneous equipment associated with energy storageprojects
- Applyingproper codes to design including NEC NESC building codeetc.
- Performingload / voltage dropcalculations
- PVSystsoftwareexperience
- Softwareexperience utilizing SKM ETAP Easy Power or similar softwarepreferred
- Sometravelrequired
- Continuededucation and participation in conferences to stay current withintheindustry
Salaryis commensurate withexperience.
