Scope of Assignment :
Scope of Assignment
Under the general supervision of the discipline’s Division Dean, will teach online courses in accordance with course descriptions, outlines, and class schedules;
evaluate progress of students; advise students concerning educational matters, and perform other instructional related duties as assigned in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Division.
The Behavioral and Social Sciences Division offers courses in economics, social science, administration of justice, anthropology, geography, history, human services, philosophy, psychology, and sociology.

Possession of minimum qualifications for teaching in any of the following disciplines OR the equivalent as determined by district policy : economics, social science, administration of justice, anthropology, geography, history, human services, philosophy, psychology, and sociology.

Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or equivalent, OR possession of an online teaching certificate from a recognized online instruction program such as @ONE (onefortraining.
org), the Online Learning Consortium (onlinelearningconsortium.org), or equivalent.

Previous successful experience teaching lower-division online courses. Experience using the Canvas Learning Management System.
Sensitivity to issues concerning student equity in the online classroom.

Note : there is a separate salary range for summer school.
