This position has an end date of 08 / 31 / 25. Renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals.

This position will likely involve hybrid on-site, work from home, and work from community components.

Purpose

A research post-doctoral position is available in the Benge TECHANS lab at the University of Texas at Austin. This position will assist with an R01 funded project on smartphone technology usage, prospective memory functioning, and Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.

The post-doc will be involved in data collection in older adult patient populations, community outreach, data analysis, and data presentation, and will collaborate with clinical scientists at Baylor University and Baylor Scott & White Healthcare.

This position involves a significant amount of patient-facing time for study participant recruitment and conduction of research visits.

This position also involves administrative tasks, working with the PI, department, sponsors, and institution to support the compliance, financial, personnel and other related aspects of the clinical studies.

Responsibilities

Study preparation / infrastructure and experimental framework development

Recruitment, data collection, and data management.

Data analysis and dissemination.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

PhD or PsyD in psychology, rehabilitation, speech and language sciences, or related disciplines. PhD must be received within the last three years.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with older adults. Fluency in Spanish. Experience in cognitive rehabilitation.

Salary Range

$56,484

Working Conditions

May work around standard office conditions.

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.

Occasional interstate, intrastate and international travel.

Field work as necessary.

Retirement Plan Eligibility :

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
