Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality instruction in the absence of their regular teachers.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Instructional Delivery : Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that students are engaged and that classroom objectives are met.
- Classroom Management : Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that is conducive to learning, following the school’s established policies and procedures.
- Student Engagement : Build positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and supporting their academic and social development.
- Adaptability : Be flexible in managing different classroom environments, including various grade levels and subjects, as assigned.
- Professionalism : Exhibit professionalism at all times, including punctuality, reliability, and effective communication with school staff and administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage a classroom effectively; adaptability to different instructional settings.
- Successful completion of State and Federal Criminal Background Check - All offers are considered pending until the successful completion of a professional reference check and a state / federal background check.
- A sense of humility, customer service mindset, and a personal affinity to our mission and vision, as well as demonstrated commitment to our 5 core beliefs - Relentlessness, Equity, Achievement, Community, and Hope.
Additional Information
This is an hourly role at $15.00 an hour.
